Paul Reubens, the actor and comedian best known for his creation of the Pee-wee Herman character, died on Tuesday, July 31, 2023, at the age of 70. His death was confirm by his manager, James Dixon.

Pee-wee Herman was a childlike, eccentric man with a distinctive voice and mannerisms.

Reubens starred in several films and television shows as Pee-wee Herman, including Pee-wee’s Big Adventure (1985) and Pee-wee’s Big Holiday (2016).

He was arrest for indecent exposure in 1991, but was acquitted of the charges.

Reubens continued to work as an actor and comedian after the scandal, but never regained the same level of success.
